FUNDRAISING IDEAS
TO RAISE MONEY FOR BUSES FOR THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON
Contact us to be added to the
list of schools and groups in need of sponsors
to pay for buses. Email us a picture to be posted next to your
name/group.
Use this fundraising card, or use it as a model to make your own. Print
it on cardstock and distribute it to your congregation, community group,
friends, neighbors etc. and get contributions:

Approach union locals and AFL-CIO local councils in your area to sponsor
your bus. The UAW, HERE, and UFCW Union Internationals are endorsers of
the march, as well as teachers unions from several major cities. See

Hold a press conference, calling on people to contribute to help get
you, your co-students, co-workers, your community and your city to the
March on Washington.
Approach local chapters of the national organizations that have endorsed
the march, or are generally supportive of affirmative action for bus
funding. National organizations endorsing the march include the NAACP,
the SCLC, the National Organization for Women (NOW), the National
