BAMN is uniting the new civil rights movement with the struggle to rebuild the labor movement. The struggles against racism and sexism and for equality cannot succeed without the potential massive power of the labor movement. The labor movement cannot stop the current attacks on living standards or secure workers a decent life, without uniting with the new civil rights movement and taking up the struggle against racism.

Stop the Attacks on Public Services and Workers!

There is a nation-wide attack on public services, unions, workers and the poor. First the corporations caused the financial crisis, and then they got a trillion dollar federal bailout. That allowed them to continue giving executives billions in bonuses. Now they want to repay the banks that financed the bailouts by lowering the expectations, living standard, and services for workers, the unemployed and poor people. The only way to defeat this attack is to mobilize the mass, militant, collective power of workers, students, and young people in cities across the nation.

Save Detroit! Defend Public Services, Public Education, & Public Workers

Bail Out Detroit! We are engaged in a historic struggle. Our goals are jobs, decent living standards, equal quality education and public services, and a viable future for Detroit and our youth. Detroit is not alone, and we must lead the way.
